Die Dinge des Lebens sind eine Bilderversammlung alltäglicher Gegenstände, die im einzelnen Objekt und im fotografischen Blick auf den jeweiligen Gegenstand spezifisch und privat erscheinen. In der Zusammenschau jedoch erhalten sie den Charakter des Allgemeingültigen und Zeitlosen. Ort, Zeit und Autorenschaft der Aufnahmen scheinen unbestimmt.
Eine unwissenschaftliche Ethnologie von eigentümlicher Ästhetik, festgemacht an eines Blickes gewürdigten Dingen des täglichen Lebens. Bestimmend für die Atmosphäre dieser Installation ist die Balance zwischen kühler Romantik und einer emotionalen Archivierung. Nicht das einzelne Bild zählt, sondern das Bilderfeld und der damit verbundene Zeitraum.
Die Dinge des Lebens is a pictorial collection of everyday objects that appear in a specific and private manner, both in themselves and in the photographic view of each object. In the entirety of the collection, however, they receive a universal and timeless character. Place, time and the authorship of the shots seem to be indeterminate.
A non-scientific ethnology with a unique aesthetic, affixed to the things of everyday life that have been honoured with a glance.
What determines the atmosphere of this installation is the balance between cool romanticism and an emotional archiving. It is not the individual picture that counts, but rather the field of pictures and the connected period of time.
